Saturday in the Studio

The studio sale was a great success. Thanks to everyone who came and for those of you who bought work or are still considering it. There was a mix of familiar faces and new acquaintances and it was a real pleasure getting to know you. For anyone not able to attend, let me know if you’d like to arrange a studio visit another time.

It was revealing to see some of my paintings together, in roughly chronological order, reflecting on how they have evolved and what different palettes and approaches I have used. Meeting so many people in the space where I paint prompted interesting questions about how I work, with what materials and tools, the stories behind the paintings, what’s inspiring me now and, most intriguingly, what’s next.
